It is important to me that supervisees feel well supported. This allows for a safe space to explore challenging and difficult experiences within the counselling room. But also, supervisees successes.
I don’t expect you to have all the answers, be perfect nor carry negative experiences. We are all human. Teaching the Level 4 diploma (see below) I really do have an understanding of how impactful really good supervision can be. Not just on your well being but also great ideas about 'what next'? I regularly inform my trainees of new pathways that complement their qualification.
I am authentic and energetic. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, and importantly ensuring you too, feel part of the process.
I was taught in this model. It really is a good model to use that gives structure to a supervision session. Here's a link to know more https://mcpt.co.uk/what-is-supervision/
I'm in my third decade as a teacher having trained as an art and design teacher. I moved to leading faculties and then training teachers. Not wanting to leave this behind, after training to counsel i also teach adults on the level 4 diploma. i like to keep uptodate with developments and stay in touch and meet newly qualified supervisees 'where they are at'. i've seen how a mismatch of expectations can lead to feelings of bewilderment and to be honest panic. Good supervision is vital.
I have a passion for transactional analysis. But all the modalities I use are of course underpinned by person centred. I use CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and branches of all these modalities including experiencial interventions
For 1.5hrs I charge £60. I don't wish to charge more, as I know how hard it is to build an income
Wednesdays. Just because I am semi-retired and nominating a day helps me to control myself! But if that's not great for you, don't be put off from making contact. There's always a discussion to have!
